Hilda Baci Sets Another Record, Receives Second Guinness Plaque For Culinary Feat

Celebrity chef Hilda Baci is celebrating yet another milestone after receiving her second Guinness World Record plaque. The new recognition honours her achievement for cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice, a feat confirmed by Guinness World Records. The massive dish weighed 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) and was prepared during a Lagos cookout in September.

This latest plaque comes a little over a year after her first record, which she earned in May 2023 for completing a 93-hour and 11-minute cooking marathon.

With these two remarkable accomplishments, Hilda Baci has officially become Nigeria’s first and most decorated chef to hold multiple Guinness World Records.

She wrote:

And not just any records two of the biggest culinary records ever set.
