Rita Daniels: I never approved of Regina’s marriage to Ned Nwoko

Rita Daniels, the mother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, has revealed that she initially disapproved of her daughter’s marriage to politician and businessman Senator Ned Nwoko.

Her clarification comes amid renewed public scrutiny following a viral video in which Regina accused Nwoko of domestic violence.

Nwoko has refuted the allegations, claiming that Regina’s challenges are linked to drug and alcohol use, and noting that none of his five other wives have ever made similar accusations.

In an interview with BBC News Igbo recorded on October 3, Rita addressed long-standing rumours that she orchestrated or “sold” her daughter into the marriage. She dismissed such claims, stating that she was, in fact, the last to learn about their relationship.
