Christian Genocide: Detail of meeting between US War Secretary, Hegseth, Nigerian delegation emerges
Office of the United States Secretary of War has provided details of its meeting with the Nuhu Ribadu-led delegation from Nigeria.
The Assistant on Public Affairs and Advisor to the Secretary of War, Sean Parnell, provided the details of the meeting held between Pete Hegseth and the Ribadu-led Nigerian delegation to the US.
TrendyNobs reported that the National Security Adviser, NSA, Ribadu, met with Hegseth, following US President Donald Trump’s threat to attack jihadist groups terrorising and killing Christians in Nigeria.
It was also reported that the delegation comprised the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu; the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi; and the Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Oluyede.
Trump had recently designated Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern”, CPC, based on claims that Christians were being systematically killed in the country.
Talking about the meeting with Nigeria, Parnell posted on War.gov, “On Nov. 20, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth welcomed a delegation of security leaders from the Federal Republic of Nigeria led by their National Security Advisor, Mr Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, to the Pentagon.
“Both leaders discussed ways to make tangible progress on stopping violence against Christians in Nigeria and combatting West African jihadist terrorist groups.
“Secretary Hegseth emphasized the need for Nigeria to demonstrate commitment and take both urgent and enduring action to stop violence against Christians and conveyed the Department’s desire to work by, with, and through Nigeria to deter and degrade terrorists that threaten the United States.”
