NDLEA debunks viral video claiming hidden airport for cocaine smuggling in Kebbi

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has debunked claims of a 2-kilometre airport in Argungu forest, describing the viral video as AI-generated.

NDLEA Kebbi State Commander, Rabiu A. Sokoto, told journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday that investigations revealed no such airport, forest, or individuals mentioned in the video.

“We directed our officers to investigate the airport and the forest alleged to be used for cocaine transport in Argungu, but found nothing,” Sokoto said.

“The video is creating unnecessary alarm and misleading the public,” he added.
Kebbi State Commissioner of Information, Ahmed Yakubu, also condemned the video, calling it malicious and politically motivated.

He urged residents to disregard it, saying it was intended to discredit the state government.
