Soludo Takes Campaign to Orumba, Calls for Continued Support

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has taken his re-election campaign for the November 8 gubernatorial election to Ajalli in Orumba North and Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Areas, declaring that the area is his home.

During the campaign stops, Soludo interacted with community members, outlining his administration’s achievements and future plans in key sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

Reaffirming his faith in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the polls draw closer, Soludo urged voters to cast their ballots carefully to avoid invalid votes. He described his campaign as “a divine project and a mass movement” and praised the unprecedented grassroots mobilization and financial contributions coming from communities across Anambra.

“This visit is a homecoming for me,” he said, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support he received from Orumba during the last election. He appealed to the people to replicate that support, adding, “Everyone is saying we are the consensus candidate in Anambra. But I urge you to get your PVCs ready — Soludo will win with your vote.”

The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of Anambra citizens, highlighting ongoing projects in roads, schools, and hospitals within Orumba. He assured the people that his government would continue to accelerate development across the state in the next four years, pledging to build “a society where everyone has the opportunity to excel.”

Several political figures — including former Deputy Governor Chief Emeka Sibudu, Commissioner for Agriculture Dr. Foster Ihejiofor, Chief of Staff Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, House of Representatives member Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, Lady Ifeoma Ekwueme, Mrs. Amaka Iruegbu, and Chief Ben Nwankwo — also addressed the crowd, reaffirming that APGA remains the dominant political force in the eighteen wards and fifteen communities of Orumba South.

In a strong show of support, Orumba North donated ₦75 million and Orumba South contributed ₦150 million to Soludo’s campaign.
